    Firmware is the software program installed on your Nike device's memory chip. It enables us to update the way your Nike device works. When we release new features and functionalities, improvements, bug fixes, and other changes that affect the performance of your device, it's generally through a firmware update.

    To view the firmware version on your Nike device, plug it in to your computer's USB port and allow Nike+ Connect to launch. In the Nike+ Connect applet, click the Connect version.
